The town of Clarksdale doesn't have much to see, but it has a lot to hear... As mentioned earlier, it is considered one of the homelands of blues music. In the center you will find many blues clubs with live music. Among these, the most famous is the Ground Zero Blues Club, owned by the famous actor Morgan Freeman. Unfortunately, we found it closed both nights of our stay. However, we were literally invited by the musicians themselves to attend their performance at another blues club. It was truly a wonderful experience that I recommend: the artists are very talented and engaging. The atmosphere is truly bluesy, relaxed, and informal (just know that the musician was playing barefoot). The venues themselves feel like homey living rooms: you can simply listen to the music, have a cocktail, or dance if you feel like it.
