For your stay, I recommend the Ramada Springfield North Hotel: very comfortable, with rooms and large bathrooms. If you can, book the room with 2 queen beds: really huge! The breakfast included in the price is also good and is served in the well-organized breakfast room. The hotel also has a laundry that you can use independently (they also sell powder detergent at the reception) for a few dollars so you'll arrive in Chicago in style!

For dinner, if you want to stay close to the hotel, you have several options: tex-mex, steakhouse, hamburger. The choice is yours.
