There are not many accommodation options at Monument Valley. Inside the park, there is only one hotel, the The View Hotel managed by the Navajo.
This hotel is truly huge and, of course, enjoys an unparalleled view as it overlooks the Monument directly. Next to it, some cabins have recently been built, which are very small wooden chalets equipped with a bathroom with shower, a small kitchen, and a small outdoor veranda. I highly recommend booking this option (it is a must if you want to stay inside the park) so you will have your own private and somewhat more secluded accommodation compared to the mega hotel, and you will enjoy a wonderful view directly from your bed or from your veranda, from which you can take beautiful photos at sunrise and sunset. As you will read later, the kitchen will also come in handy... I should point out that the weather is very variable and often at night strong storms break out in Monument Valley. Due to its conformation and the immense spaces, there are many lightning strikes and very loud thunder. The same goes for the strong winds that during our stay seemed as if they would sweep away our cabin.
