WHERE TO EAT IN AMARILLO
As I mentioned before, in Amarillo it is a must to have dinner at the Big Texan Steak Ranch. It is a huge venue in typical Texan style where you will find a brewery, a shop where you can buy fun travel souvenirs, and of course a mega restaurant whose specialty is steak... and what a steak! Every evening you can watch, or participate if you are brave, in the 72oz steak contest: a competition to see who can eat a 2 kg steak in the shortest time, and alone. The evening is also enlivened by some friendly musicians who play country music classics, and if you wish, you can ask them to perform the beautiful country song Amarillo by morning...
