WHERE TO SLEEP IN AMARILLO
If you are in Amarillo you can only stay at the legendary Big Texan Motel! This is the annexed motel of the famous Texan restaurant specializing in huge steaks. The motel is all themed: bedspreads with the Texas star, bathrooms with saloon-style sliding doors and as an accessory the headstock for the flies that abound here. The motel also has a small outdoor shaped pool .... obviously .... of the state of Texas. In the parking lot, you will find the famous Cadillacs with horns just like the ones on the Boss Hogg hood (as in the Hazzard TV series).
