On the island you can't miss tasting the famous oysters. The best can be tasted from Yakigaki no Hayashi. Don't be afraid if you see a long queue in front of the restaurant's entrance, you will get a seat very quickly. While you are in the queue you can watch the grilled oysters being cooked. I recommend trying the oysters in three ways: raw with lemon or soy sauce, breaded and fried and grilled.
