Not too much to see in Vermillion, it's just a transfer stop. The best hotel is the Best Western Vermilion Inn: comfortable and average. Let me tell you a funny anecdote of this hotel: we ask the receptionist for a taxi to take us to the center for dinner (it was August 15th and we wanted to celebrate it). The girl looks at us a little perplexed and tells us that there is no real taxi but a transport service offered by the municipality. We think it to be nice for the municipality to offer such a service and we confirm the booking. At the scheduled time our taxi driver arrives, a middle-aged gentleman with a white van. We discover it to be a transport service for drunk people .... we died with laughter!
