In Clarksdale, there is not too much to see, but instead, there is a lot to hear... As anticipated, it is considered one of the homelands of blues music. In the city center you will find many blues clubs with live music. Among these, the most famous is the Ground Zero Blues Club owned by the famous actor Morgan Freeman. Unfortunately, we found it closed both nights of our stay. However, we were literally invited by the musicians themselves to attend their performance at another blues club. It was a beautiful experience that I recommend: the artists are very good and engaging. The atmosphere is truly blues, relaxed and informal (the musician played barefoot).
The clubs look like home living rooms: you can simply listen to music, have a cocktail or dance if you feel like it.
