WHERE TO SLEEP IN MILWAUKEE

Our stylish room

As I anticipated, Milwaukee is a true melting pot where different cultures coexist. Upon our arrival in the city, in the Concordia district, where our b&b is located, we were a little shocked. The b&b lies inside an ancient Victorian villa made of red bricks with a very austere appearance. All around there is an Afro ghetto, one of those seen in the most classic American films, with lots of colored guys staying in their cars listening to music and watching your every move. In the neighborhood, you will find mosques and Catholic churches. There is nothing to fear: everyone coexists peacefully, indeed they help each other. We walked without troubles in the evening. Maybe later take an Uber to return to the b&b.

The Schuster Mansion is a b&b coming from an ancient time. When you cross the entrance threshold you are transported to another era. The house is all in the Victorian style, full of trinkets and references to that time. You will be greeted by the hosts who, after providing you with a brief description of the house, will ask you what you want for the next day's breakfast. The menu is varied. The rooms are also in style, very particular and full of details. Sleep will be peaceful and relaxed. The biggest surprise will be when you wake up: outside the door of your room you will find, what I love the most, a sort of delicious pre-breakfast with homemade cream and sweets accompanied by steaming tea and coffee. The best way to start the day! Afterward, a traditional breakfast will be served in the dining room. The bike can safely be parked on the driveway in the back of the house.
