WHERE TO SLEEP IN TREAMPEALEAU

Accomodations in Treampealeau are few. I chose to stay in the only b&b in the town: Lucas House. Their website has some grainy photos, but I followed my intuition and what to say: we had a great time! The b&b is the typical American house on several floors, surrounded by a white picket fence, with a well-kept garden and the American flag flying. From your balcony, you can enjoy a priceless view of the Mississippi River. The owners are a very nice elderly couple, very kind but also very reserved. The bedrooms are large and each has a separate private bathroom. You will feel like sleeping in your grandmother's house: what a pleasant feeling! The following morning the owners are waiting for you in their huge kitchen to serve you an excellent breakfast. You will find everything but you cannot miss Tom's toast. It is a toast made by Tom, the owner, stuffed with peanut butter and tomatoes from his garden: a real treat. By now, at home, Tom's toast is a must for Sunday's breakfast!
